Finland has two national churches (i.e., semi-established official churches) — the Orthodox Church in Finland and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Finland. In Finnish law these churches are treated as corporations of public law. The Orthodox Church in Finland is regulated by two statutes: the Statute on the Orthodox Church (Lag om ortodoxa kyrkan 10.11.2006/985) and the Church Order of the Orthodox Church from 2007 (Kyrkoordning för ortodoxa kyrkan 12.12.2006/174 år 2007).
